OVC FY 2022 Project Beacon: Increasing Access to Services for Urban American Indian and Alaska Native Victims of Human Trafficking Program: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) seeks applications for funding for the FY 2022 Project Beacon: Increasing Access to Services for Urban American Indian and Alaska Native Victims of Human Trafficking Program. This program furthers the DOJ's mission by increasing access to services for victims of crime and addressing inequities in access. Purpose Area 1: Limited to nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations) whose primary mission is specifically to provide services that meet the health, safety, and general welfare needs of American Indian and Alaska Native individuals who reside in urban areas. Purpose Area 2: Limited to states, federally recognized Indian tribal governments, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior, units of local government, nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), national organizations, and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education).For purposes of this solicitation, "state" means any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
