- Grant Description
- Limited funding is available to support NGOs working with UNHCR in Liberia in support of Liberian refugee repatriation and reintegration. Proposals should focus on areas of high refugee return (e.g., Lofa County) where refugee returnees make up at least 50% of targeted beneficiaries. Given current funding constraints and the identification of health as a critical requirement, for proposed activities beginning January 16, 2007 - May 15, 2007, PRM will give priority to health-related proposals. PRM will accept proposals from any NGO that is able to satisfy these guidelines although, given our budgetary constraints, priority will be given to proposals from organizations that can demonstrate:(1) a working relationship with UNHCR and 2007 UNHCR funding and/or support for the proposed activities and/or overall country program;(2) a proven track record in providing proposed assistance (both in the sector and specified location) to refugees in asylum countries and/or to returnees;(3) evidence of coordination with development organizations and a well-developed transition strategy, and (4) appropriate targeting of beneficiaries in coordination with UNHCR and other relevant organizations.
