Grant Description
The primary objective of this Agreement is to develop a Shoreline Management Plan for MCB Quantico. In order to evaluate the appropriate shoreline erosion control strategy along estuarine coasts, a Shoreline management Plan is a very effective planning tool. A Shoreline Management Plan ties the physical and hydrodynamic elements of the targeted shorelines to the various shoreline protection strategies available in order to identify the appropriate management recommendation. In particular, bank undercutting and eroding upland banks should be addressed in the Shoreline Management Plan.
