Grant Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: With support provided through a cooperative agreement, the Harpers Ferry Historical Association (HFHA) and the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park would work together to present events and activities directly related to the 2009 Sesquicentennial Anniversary of abolitionist John Brown's raid on the arsenal at Harpers Ferry. This includes re-enactments, dramatic productions, art exhibits, academic lectures, special tours and more.Unique Qualifications: The applicant is best suited for the project based on its partnership as the Park's cooperating association, location geographically, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability, coordinating abilities with NPS, state, county and other non-profit groups and past history of successful special event assistance.
