- This is a single-eligibility award. Assistance will be provided only to NASCOP, and no other applicants are solicited. NASCOP is the branch of the Kenyan Ministry of Health responsible for the implementation and monitoring of HIV prevention and treatment activities in the health sector in Kenya, and as such is the only organization with the mandate to carry out the described activities. This agreement will follow a previous single-eligibility agreement with the same institution, and constitutes a critical element of the U.S. Governments support to HIV prevention and control efforts in Kenya under the Presidents Emergency Plan.

- Secretarys Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS06-628 CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a new funding opportunity entitled, "Expanding and Integrating HIV Care in the Republic of Kenya under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief." $6,000,000 will be available in FY2006 to fund one award to strengthen activities within the Kenyan Ministry of Health to integrate quality HIV prevention, care and treatment throughout the health system; implement better policies; improve the coordination of activities; collect and use strategic information for program improvement; and contribute to the mutual goals of the Emergency Plan and the Kenyan National AIDS Strategic Plan.
