Additional Information on Eligibility
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has the legal mandate to regulate, develop and implement policy and technical guidelines, as well as provide oversight for planning, evaluation and inspection. The MOH has primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the National Strategic Plan to strengthen a cadre of public health professionals to respond to the national initiative to combat HIV/AIDS. To enhance the retention of health care providers and increase the number of qualified professionally trained health care workers, the MOH will establish a Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP).
Grant Description
To strengthen the capacity of the Republic of Angola, Ministry of Health, in Health Systems Strengthening (HSS), Strategic Information (SI), and Monitoring and Evaluation through the implementation of the Angola Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (A-FELTP). The A-FELTP will strengthen SI and laboratory capacity in-country by supporting the development of a trained public health workforce, as well as link sustainable systems and infrastructures.
