Grant Description

CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, "Mining Occupational Safety and Health Research (R01)." Approximately $1,500,000 will be available in fiscal year 2008 to fund 3-4 awards. The purpose of the program is to develop and refine methods for reducing risks and for preventing or minimizing exposure to hazardous conditions in mines, and to translate significant scientific findings into prevention practices and products that will effectively reduce mining-related illnessess and injuries.
