San Pasqual Reclaimed Water Project Phase III: Notice of Intent to Award Only - Through this project the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians will continue with the installation of the San Pasqual Reclaimed Water or “purple pipe” irrigation line from the Valley View Casino's waste water treatment facility to the surrounding communities and homes on the San Pasqual Indian Reservation. San Pasqual Indian Reservation is located in northern San Diego County and is in an arid and dry climate that is susceptible to droughts and wildfires. San Pasqual has limited access to underground drinking water from tribal wells; the majority of reservation water comes from the local Valley Center Water District. In an effort to conserve potable water during the current drought and to decrease the Tribes dependence on Valley Center Municipal Water District, the Tribe is going to install an irrigation system using the reclaimed water from Valley View Casino. Valley View Casino has a waste water treatment plant that treats its waste water to State of California title 22 status.
