Strengthen HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment Services for Infants of HIV Positive Mothers in the Republic of Haiti through Provision of Improved Pediatric HIV/AIDS Laboratory Diagnosis: CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a new funding opportunity entitled, Strengthen HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment Services for Infants of HIV Positive Mothers in the Republic of Haiti through Provision of Improved Pediatric HIV/AIDS Laboratory Diagnosis. $200,000 will be available in FY2005 to fund one private/non-profit organization with five years of experience in HIV/AIDS pediatric diagnosis and testing that is currently working in the Central Plateau Region of Haiti. The purpose of the program is to progressively build an indigenous, sustainable response to the national HIV epidemic through the rapid expansion of innovative, culturally appropriate, high-quality HIV/AIDS prevention and care interventions.
