Targeted Capacity Expansion (TCE): Meeting the Mental Health Services Needs of Older Adults: SAMHSA's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) announces the availability of fiscal year (FY) 2005 funds for increasing system infrastructure and service capacity for older persons with mental health needs. The purpose of the Older Adult Mental Health TCE Grant Program is to help communities provide direct services and to build the necessary infrastructure to support expanded services for meeting the diverse mental health needs of older persons. The target population of older adults, for the purpose of this program, is defined as persons 60 years and older who are at risk for or are experiencing mental health problems. Older Adult Mental Health TCE grants are authorized under 520A of the Public Health Service Act, as amended.
