2019 Jordan Local Grants Program: U.S. Embassy Jordan has identified two priority areas forwhich it seeks responsive applications: Enhanced Citizen Engagement andStrengthened Civil Society Advocacy and Capacity. The first objective ofthis Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to encourage a more activecitizenry through increased media literacy and civic education, outlets foropen discussion, and broadened youth participation in local government andcivil society. The second objective isto increase Jordanians' ability to hold their government accountable through enhancedNGO advocacy and capacity building for local organizations. Proposals should pay special attention todeveloping strategies and activities that increase women's participation.
