2019 National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program: The National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program (NGGDPP) was established and authorized in Section 351 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-58, Sec. 351). Section 351 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 recognizes the need for the preservation and cataloging of and access to geological and geophysical data for future economic importance.
