30 Percent Efficency Multi-Junction Space Solar Cells: To download the full announcement, go to the top of this page, locate and click on "full announcement" to the right of the synopsis button. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Materials & Manufacturing Directorate, Manufacturing Technology Division (AFRL/MLM), Wright Research Site is seeking to improve the manufacturing processing capabilities of producing 30 percent efficiency multi-junction space solar cells. Interested parties should have documented expertise in the production, qualification, and sale of space solar cells. Only approaches that will yield space solar cells that operate according to AAIA standard S-111-2005 will be considered. Additionally, interested parties shall describe what test facilities and test facility location will be used for the qualification and characterization of all AAIA standard S 111-2005 tests. The government contemplates that this project will last a total of 18 months, 14 months of technical effort and 4 months of reporting. If more funds become available an option to the the program would be added on that would make the program a total of 28 months, 24 months technical effort and 4 months reporting.
