AETC National Multicultural Center: This grant is awarded to an eligible entity to assume a leadership position in building capacity on multicultural competency for HIV care and training. The project will serve as a resource center for the AETC network and others in the areas of cultural competency training for HIV providers. Tools and curricula will be developed to enhance training of HIV/AIDS care providers to deliver the highest quality of HIV care and address effective patient/provider communication. This project will establish a collaborative network of HBCUs, HSIs, TCUs, and their affiliates and national organizations that represent minority health care professionals to develop the tools and reach the targeted care providers. The project will collaborate with regional AETCs programs to support them in delivering training on cultural competency.

Additional Information on Eligibility
All interested entities are eligible to apply, including public and nonprofit private entities and schools and academic health sciences centers, including faith-based and community-based organizations. Applicants must have extensive experience in the field of health professional training and adult learning, cultural competency/fluency, HIV disease, and program administration. Applicants that fail to show experience in these areas will not be considered. In addition, applicants should be computer, and internet savvy with expertise in technology, information sharing, and dissemination.
