Accelerating Development of Methods for the Study of Complex Patients (R21): Purpose. This funding opportunity announcement is designed to support collaborations among currently funded grantees of HS-08-003 in order to accelerate the pace of discovery and forward the goals of the Optimizing Prevention and Healthcare Management for the Complex Patient R21 projects currently funded under RFA-HS-08-003, (see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-HS-08-003.html). With this call for inter-awardee collaborations we aim to see investigative teams participate more deeply in research that: Brings together expertise in primary care and health services research with large, clinically focused datasets; and Produces generalizable information about how to prioritize preventive and care management services in the complex patient.
