Annual Program Statement on Gender-Based Violence: The purpose of this Annual Program Statement (APS) is to solicit applications for funding. The United States Government, through USAID, is seeking full applications from prospective partners to implement activities in support of creative and timely responses to encourage the abandonment of traditional practices that promote and condone gender-based violence. USAID is specifically interested in those traditional harmful practices that have received limited attention from the development community. The geographic focus under consideration is USAIDs geographic definitions of Africa and Asia & the Near East (ANE).
