BJA FY 21 National Ashanti Alert Network Training and Technical Assistance Program: The Department of Justice is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights, increases access to justice, supports crime victims, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. The BJA National Ashanti Alert Network Training and Technical Assistance Program will continue to build on the current training and technical assistance (TTA) program that was started in fiscal year (FY) 2020 to assist in the development and implementation of the National Ashanti Alert Network ("Network"). This TTA program will also assist BJA in completing the elements set forth in the Ashanti Alert Act for the development, implementation, and maintenance of this national alert system to assist with the reporting and location of missing adults over the age of 17. The program will also provide the report that the Attorney General will deliver to Congress as required by the act.
