BJA FY 23 National Training and Technical Assistance: Capital Case Litigation Initiative: OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. This program focuses on ensuring quality representation and fair and impartial proceedings in capital cases. With this particular solicitation, BJA seeks to ensure judges have the most up-to-date and comprehensive information available to them on death penalty law by providing high quality training and technical assistance on legal issues faced by judges who preside over capital cases.
