Basic and Applied Research for Hydrogen Storage: The Office of Hydrogen, Fuel Cell, andInfrastructure Technologies of theDepartment of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energyissoliciting financial assistance Applications with the objective ofsupportingindustry efforts and the Presidential Hydrogen Fuel Initiative indeveloping apath to a hydrogen economy. DOE intends to provide financial support underprovisions of the Hydrogen Future Act of 1996.A Pre-Solicitation meeting will be held 1:00 PM Eastern, June 19, 2003 attheWashington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle NW, Washington, D.C. Inpreparationfor the meeting, DOE is issuing a draft Statement of Objectives for publiccomments and provide the opportunity for the public to submit questions.Toobtain a copy of the draft Statement of Objectives, interested partiesshouldaccess the DOE Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, and Infrastructure TechnologiesProgramwebsite at www.eere.energy.gov/hydrogenandfuelcells. The draft StatementofObjectives can also be obtained directly through the Industry InteractiveProcurement System (IIPS) at http://e-center.doe.gov by browsing forexistingbusiness opportunities and then browsing ?Opportunities by Program Office?under Financial Assistance, Golden Field Office and then by numberDE-PS36-0393013. Questions and comments must be submitted to DOE [email protected] by the COB June 17, 2003 in order for DOE to answer asmany questions as possible at the June 19 meeting. Questions and commentssubmitted by June 17, 2003, will be addressed at the Pre-Solicitationmeeting.Questions and comments submitted after June 17, 2003 will be addressed byDOEand answers posted on the Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, and InfrastructureTechnologiesProgram website.
