Behavioral Mechanisms in Biomedical Strategies to Prevent HIV Infections (R34): Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), issued by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), encourages research grant applications from institutions/organizations to advance understanding of the complex behavioral and social factors that partially determine the efficacy and effectiveness of new biomedical strategies to curb HIV infections.
