Call for Meeting to all Stakeholders: Dear Resilience Stakeholders, This notice is not funding opportunity. USAID/Ethiopia is not accepting applications in response to this notice at this point. USAID is planning to convene a one and half day meeting, Feb 21-22, 2017 for stakeholders either currently working in or interested in working in the pastoral areas of Ethiopia on resilience activities (the meeting will be in Addis Ababa, location TBD). The objective of the meeting is to share learning from programming in the pastoral areas and to look for opportunities for improved collaboration particularly at regional level-Pastoral areas of Oromia, Somali and Afar Regions. During the meeting USAID will share the lessons learned from its resilience activities in the pastoral areas based on the review work recently carried out by independent consultants and implementing partners. USAID will also invite government of Ethiopia and other development partners to share lessons of their resilience initiatives and coordination efforts. Working group sessions will be held to reflect on the lessons learned and have in depth discussion on how both programming and coordination between partners and government led resilience initiatives can be improved. USAID will use the information from this workshop to influence the implementation of current resilience activities and the strategic direction of future initiatives. Hence, the mission would like to invite development partners and government of Ethiopia representatives at national and regional level to participate in the meeting, share their experiences to improve design, implementation and coordination of future resilience programs. Due to limited space availability, relevant government ministries, regional relevant bureaus and development partners are expected to send maximum of one participant to the meeting. If there is additional space for more participating organizations will be notified prior to the event. Organizations interested to participate in the meeting are expected to respond to nscott@usaid and dadmasu@usaid to confirm participants names, titles and, e-mail addresses the latest by Feb 15, 2017 to receive the agenda for the meeting and other relevant documents for preparation. Meeting outcomes will be published following the workshop for those unable to participate. We look forward to receive your response, Best Regards, Nathaniel Scott, USAID Ethiopia Resilience Coordinator
