Capacity Building for AWEP: The African Women's Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) is a U.S. Department of State initiative that aims to increase access to business capital and capacity-building resources for African businesswomen to promote their participation in international trade. This funding opportunity aims to solicit applications from entities that can develop a project to increase the export capabilities of AWEP members via capacity-building and technical assistance trainings as well as grants. The services may be offered in person or online. There are over 30 AWEP chapters in Africa which serve as business associations for African business women and will provide the beneficiaries of the project.
