Children, Youth, and Families At-Risk 4-H Military Partnership Program: The mission of the CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Project is to marshal resources of the Land-grant Cooperative Extension System in collaboration with other organizations to develop and deliver educational programs to equip military-connected youth in resiliency skills that they need to lead positive, productive, and contributing lives. The CYFAR philosophy (http://www.nifa.usda.gov/nea/family/cyfar/philosophy.html) is the basis for CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Project. Military-connected youth are inherently at risk from a variety of factors that include: multiple and lengthy deployments by family members, relocation of the family, single parent households, lower income, and family members returning home who are wounded or do not return home. The purpose of CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Project is to improve the quality of research based 4-H youth development programs for military-connected youth supported by the Cooperative Extension system.
