Citizen Science - Community Involvement Today and in the Future: Citizen science is a form of research that enlists the public in collecting large quantities of data across an array of environments and communities over varying spans of time. Citizen science projects have been remarkably successful and contributions from citizen scientists are considered a developing tool for expanding science knowledge and scientific literacy.
