Codes and Standards for the Hydrogen Economy: The Department of Energy (DOE) is developing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies to allow the Nation to aggressively achieve the vision of a diverse, secure, and emissions-free energy future. Through widespread commercialization of hydrogen-powered vehicles, national security interests will be supported by reducing and ultimately eliminating our reliance on foreign oil. To support a 2015 industry commercialization decision on hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles, the DOE's Golden Field Office invites applicants to partner with the DOE in facilitating the development of codes and standards for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and infrastructure.
