Community Challenges to Violent Extremism - Civil Society Capacity Building Initiative: Impactful CVE projects take many forms, but often their success is measured in their ability to dissuade individuals from joining terrorist organizations, provide local communities with means to redress grievances, offer compelling alternatives to violent extremist narratives, empower local groups and individuals to play a greater role in improving their communities, or increase community resiliency to violent extremism. The goal of the project is to build the capacity and expand the work of local Tunisian NGOs and CSOs who directly and indirectly work with individuals vulnerable to sympathizing and/or supporting violent extremism.
