Community-led Monitoring of Integrated Primary Health Care Services Activity (INTEG-CLM-PHC) in Burkina Faso: Primary health care (PHC) is a whole-of-society approach to effectively organize and strengthen national health systems to bring services for health and wellbeing closer to communities. PHC should ensure that health care is delivered in a way that is centered on people’s needs and respects their preferences. The fundamental premise of PHC is that all people, everywhere, have the right to achieve the highest attainable level of health. Integrated health services help to meet the health needs of communities throughout their lives, addressing the broader determinants of health through multisectoral policy and action.
