Conservation Education & Experience Program: To provide youth and young adults with opportunities and work experience in natural resource management on the public lands and to provide BLM with a means to recruit qualified young people from a national pool of conservation-minded students.Work experiences in natural resource management consist of Bureau projects that might nototherwise be undertaken by field office staff. Examples of such projects include weed educationand eradication; native plant seed collection; wildlife and habitat monitoring; fire rehabilitation; and education of homeowners in "FireWise" practices.
