Countering Foreign Fighter Recruitment in Tunisia: A Government/Community Partnership: CT seeks programming that will give the Tunisian Government (GOT) a roadmap, toolkit, and strengthened ties at the community level to effectively counter/defuse the extremist recruitment narrative. This project should: 1) position GOT security organs/rule of law institutions to work with community representatives/grassroots organizations to diagnosis internal recruitment drivers and develop localized strategies for countering the recruitment narrative 2) connect GOT officials from security and non-law enforcement ministries with grassroots actors to strategize on how to jointly implement initiatives to counter the effectiveness of extremist recruitment 3) provide funding to defray CSO-incurred costs as they jointly implement CVE strategies with GOT.
