Critical Agricultural Materials Program: The Critical Agricultural Materials Competitive Grants Program supports product development, demonstration and validation of product performance under operational field conditions, specifically for paints, coatings, adhesives for composites, and aerial delivery systems or components which are manufactured from domestically produced agricultural materials and are of strategic and industrial importance to benefit the economy, defense and general well-being of the Nation. Applications may be submitted by any person, or public or private agency or organization. Award recipients may subcontract to organizations not eligible to apply provided such organizations are necessary for the conduct of the project. An applicant's failure to meet an eligibility criterion by the time of an application deadline may result in the application being excluded from consideration or, even though an application may be reviewed, will preclude NIFA from making an award.
