Design, Synthesis, and Preclinical Testing of Potential Treatment Agents for Drug Addiction (R01): The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) invites research applications aimed at design, synthesis, and preclinical testing of potential treatment agents for drug addiction and/or relapse prevention. Recent advances in molecular neurobiological mechanisms underlying drug addiction provide a basis for development of new therapeutic targets and chemical entities to treat and prevent relapses of drug addiction.
