Eastern Iraqi Universities Initiative: The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad invites eligible organizations to submit proposals to develop and implement a program to support the University of Diyala and the University of Wasit under its Eastern Iraq Universities Initiative. Proposals should focus on the following areas: (1) supporting and designing advanced computer and technology programs in computer science and computer engineering departments; and (2) facilitating issuance of Information Technology certifications from certified U.S. institutions. The proposal must have a work plan for each university, including descriptions of capacity-building programs; curricula; purchases of equipment and educational materials; and linkages with American universities, including faculty exchange programs to foster collaboration and information sharing.
