Education Sector Support Activities in Guinea: The United States Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking applications from any U.S. or non-U.S. private voluntary /profit or non-profit, non-governmental organizations (PVOs/NGOs) or public international organization (PIOs/IOs) to implement education sector support activities in Guinea. The purpose of this Annual Program Statement is to: (1) disseminate information about USAID/Guinea?s Education Strategic Objective to provide quality basic education to a larger percentage of Guinean children with an emphasis on girls and rural children, and (2) generate competition and solicit applications for one or more awards of up to $8,000,000 for education sector support activities. USAID/Guinea anticipates awarding one or multiple agreement(s) for a comprehensive education sector support program of up to 2.5 years in duration, with up to $2,875,000 available for the first year of activities and incremental funding anticipated on an annual basis subject to the availability of funds. USAID/Guinea will also consider awarding a limited number of smaller awards for shorter duration and for lower dollar amounts. This Annual Program Statement is issued under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.
