Engineering Support and Design for Removal of the Brownsville Dam, Linn County, Oregon: The objective of this project is to obtain engineering data and design for the removal of the Brownsville Dam, dewatering, erosion control, and restoration of the stream channel. Currently the Brownsville Dam, a concrete structure about 110 feet long, is blocking upstream movement of migrating salmonids to all spawning habitat in the upper Calapooia watershed. Once the design is complete, and the Dam is removed, there will be unrestricted upstream movement of winter steelhead, trout and chinook salmon in the Calapooia River.
