Evaluation of Health Promotion and Prevention Programs for Blood Disorders: The purpose of this FOA is to develop, sustain, and evaluate non-research activities to promote the health, wellness and the adoption of healthy behaviors aimed at reducing or preventing complications of blood disorders. These health-related activities may include: (1) implementing and evaluating public health promotion and wellness programs, (2) improving access to health promotion programs and activities, (3) developing, disseminating, and evaluating health communication materials, and (4) developing, implementing and evaluating training for healthcare providers. Outcomes may include increased knowledge and awareness of signs, symptoms, and best treatments by consumers and healthcare providers, increased participation in healthy and preventive behaviors, increased access to/receipt of screening and specialty services, and improved quality of life.
