Expanding HIV Training into Graduate Medical Education: The purpose of this FOA is to fund public and nonprofit private entities and schools and academic health science centers including (1) community-based ambulatory patient care centers that operate a primary care residency program, or (2) primary care residency programs based in traditional settings with established continuity of practice programs that are located within a community-based ambulatory care center, within which large numbers of HIV-infected patients receive care, to expand opportunities to train medical residents in HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
