FY2023 U.S. Consulate Fukuoka: Women's Empowerment and Leadership Workshop: The grantee will conduct a two-day training camp to promote leadership for young women living in the Consulate's district (Kyushu and Yamaguchi). The purpose of the project is to increase women's political and economic participation by encouraging young women to model other female decision and change makers. Female United State Government funded exchange program alumni are highly encouraged to be included in this project. This training should draw on the expertise of professionals in leadership training and funds should be used to bring trainers and Japanese young women together for workshops held in Fukuoka. Grants may be used to fund travel expenses for key personnel to attend the workshop and other miscellaneous expenses needed to hold the workshop.
