Federal Loan Guarantees for Projects that Employ Innovative Technologies in Support of the Advanced Energy Initiative: The Department of Energy (DOE) is extending the duedate for Pre-Applicationsunder Solicitation Number DE-PS01-06LG00001 from November 6, 2006, toDecember31, 2006, to provide interested parties more time to develop and submitPre-Applications for loan guarantees to be considered under thissolicitation.DOE is extending the time period for interested persons to submitPre-Applications because of the extensive interest throughout the UnitedStatesthat has been expressed in the new loan guarantee program and in thissolicitation. DOE believes the public interest will be served by affordingthenumerous parties that have expressed interest in this program additionaltimeto consider whether and how they wish to participate in it.
