Final RFA No. 114-05-007 Private Sector Support to Small-And-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs): The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Caucasus) is seeking applications for an Assistance Agreement for funding a program for Private Sector Support to Small-And-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. The Private Sector Support to Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises project, a cooperative agreement, is designed as a four-year, $10.5 million effort. It is an ambitious intervention to address the needs of small and medium sized enterprises by providing assistance to: (1) increase access to medium- and long-term financing through Development Credit Authority (DCA) mechanisms; (2) encourage increased participation of Georgian businesses in international markets, through the adoption of internationally recognized self-certification standards; (3) develop advocacy skills in selected Georgian business associations in order to more effectively engage government at all levels on a variety of business issues; and (4) improve business skills, including training for youth and minorities. The assistance activity will contribute to USAID/Caucasuss Strategic Objective Accelerated Development and Growth of Private Enterprises to Create Jobs.
