Fy 2006 Flood Mitigation Assistance Program: Funds: FY 2006 FMA funding is available for State allocations for Planning, Project and Technical Assistance grants, and for administrative costs to support the FMA program. FEMA distributes FMA funds to States that, in turn, provide funds to communities. The State serves as the Grantee and program administrator for the FMA. There are statutory limits on the frequency of grants and the amount of funding that can be allocated to a State or community in any 5-year period. Cost-share: FEMA may contribute up to 75 percent of the total amount approved under the grant award to implement approved activities. At least 25 percent of the total eligible costs must be provided from a Non-Federal source; of this amount, not more than one half will be provided from in-kind contributions.
