Genome-wide Association Studies of Treatment Response in Randomized Clinical Trials - Study Investigators (U01): -Purpose. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support genome-wide association (GWA) studies in randomized controlled clinical trials to identify genetic variants associated with response to treatments for conditions of clinical or public health significance. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the U01 Cooperative Agreement grant mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total amount of funding to be awarded through this FOA is $8.8 million; it is anticipated that 3-5 awards will be made under this announcement. Applicants should NOT include costs for genome-wide genotyping in their applications; these will be supported separately by NHGRI.
