Great Plains LCC Coordination: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE; THERE IS NO "FULL ANNOUNCEMENT" ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. In accordance with Department of the Interior guidance (505 DM2 at 2.14) the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) hereby provides notice of intent to make a single-source award for this project under criterion #4 (Unique Qualifications) to the Playa Lakes Joint Venture in the amount of $230,462.00. The objective of this agreement is to coordinate partnership activities for the Great Plains Landscape Conservation Cooperative. Landscape Conservation Cooperatives are science partnerships focused on defined geographic areas that inform on-the-ground strategic conservation at landscape scales. The objective of this agreement is to coordinate partnership activities for the Great Plains Landscape Conservation Cooperative. Landscape Conservation Cooperatives are science partnerships focused on defined geographic areas that inform on-the-ground strategic conservation at landscape scales. The Playa Lakes Joint Venture is uniquely suited to coordinate the GPLCC for several reasons. The geographic boundary for the GPLCC matches perfectly the current Playa Lakes Joint Venture administrative boundary in the states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Including the collaborative relationship Playa Lakes Joint Venture has with Rainwater Basin Joint Venture in Nebraska, the match is nearly 100 percent. With Playa Lakes Joint Venture acting to coordinate the GPLCC, energy and dollars can be focused on success rather that tending two entities.
