High-efficiency Nitrogen Oxidation (HNO3): The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting innovative proposals in the foundational technologies to enable high-rate, energy efficient, decentralized nitric acid manufacturing to protect critical supply chains in the defense industrial base and redefine energetics manufacturing in contested logistics environments. Proposed research should investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems. Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice.
