Male Contraceptive Development Program (U01): This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for target discovery and validation, lead discovery and optimization, preclinical and/or clinical development of safe and effective male contraceptive products. This program aims to support a wide range of research, both basic and applied, with the goal of developing clinically useful male contraceptive products. There is no safe, effective and reversible male contraceptive drug product in the market. Thus, this program is critical in support of research with the goal of identifying male contraceptive targets and developing products to alleviate this problematic challenge.
