Mechanisms of Alcoholic Pancreatitis: The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), and National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) are seeking research grant applications that will investigate the underlying molecular, biochemical, and cellular mechanisms by which long-term alcohol ingestion leads to the development of pancreatitis.
