Monitoring Common Murre and Other Seabirds along the Central California Coast: This award is anticipated to be a single-source determination because of the technical expertise and assistance provided by the University through the Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Unit - Common Murre Restoration Project. Since 1995 the University has been providing staffing, supplies, equipment and other services, and has the experience, interest, and abilities to continue this support. The agreement is to provide for active cooperation in the advancement, organization, and conduct of natural resources restoration and to restore seabird populations harmed by oil spills, gill-net fisheries, human disturbance and other impacts; to identify potential impacts, to monitor recovery and conduct research pertaining to seabird restroation and conservation in California.
