NEA American Masterpieces: Choral Music: American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius is a major initiative to acquaint Americans in all 50 states with the best of their cultural and artistic legacy. This component of American Masterpieces will celebrate the extraordinary and rich evolution of choral music in the United States. Through performances and related educational activities in regional choral festivals, American choral music of the highest quality -- that otherwise would not be available -- will be experienced by Americans in communities across the nation. The NEA will provide grants to up to ten organizations to host regional choral festivals, each two to three days in length, that will highlight repertoire by American composers and include the participation of choral directors, composers, and other choruses. See the full Program Announcement for details.
