NIDA REI: Training a Diverse Data Science Workforce for Addiction Research (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed): There are many opportunities to leverage the potential of AI/ML to accelerate the pace of biomedical innovation, while prioritizing and addressing health disparities and inequities and mutually beneficial partnerships can be established to increase the participation of underrepresented researchers and communities. It is critical to provide support for meritorious research, strengthen the research environments and collaborations for successful data science projects, and expose undergraduate and/or graduate students in such environments to meritorious research in this area.
