NIDCD Translational Research Grants: The NIDCD is encouraging applications in translational research in the NIDCD mission areas of hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech and language. This PAR (program announcement with special review) has four submission dates. Applicants may use the R01 or R21 (Developmental/Exploratory) mechanism. Although there are no funds set-aside for this initiative, applications will be reviewed by an institute special review group. It is anticipated that a total of three to six grants will be awarded each cycle in response to this solicitation.
