NIDDK Consortium Interconnectivity Network Coordinating Unit (dkCOIN-CU) [U24]: The purpose of this FOA is to support continued development of dkCOIN through the creation of a Coordinating Unit that will provide the vision, leadership and infrastructure needed to facilitate ongoing and future expansion activities of the network. The NIDDK Consortium Interconnectivity Network was initially created to explore requirements for information sharing between four NIDDK-supported consortia, including the Nuclear Receptor Signaling Atlas (NURSA; www.nursa.org), the Beta Cell Biology Consortium (BCBC; www.betacell.org), the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Centers (MMPC; www.mmpc.org) and the Animal Models of Diabetic Complications Consortium (AMDCC; www.amdcc.org). The dkCOIN Coordinating Unit to be awarded through this FOA will provide the scientific direction and administrative management needed to create and expand a user friendly web interface that will seamlessly integrate information, resources and data held by NIDDK related research groups with the goal of providing a uniquely valuable and powerful resource for NIDDK investigators.
